Meet Delia
Born and raised in England, Delia found herself at 31, already a mother of two and pregnant with her third, in need of a waterbirth pool. At the time, waterbirth was all but unheard of in her home town and there wasn’t a single birthing pool available. So she bought a birthing pool, well, actually, four pools.
After giving birth in water herself, Delia began renting out those pools to other women, but she wanted more; to bring water birth into the healthcare system. When hospitals pushed back, saying water birth was “too dangerous”, Delia didn’t walk away. She invited Barbara Harper, the world’s leading expert in water birth education, to train doctors and midwives.
The result?
Today, three-quarters of hospitals in the region now support water birth thanks to Delia.
Now, she’s taking everything she’s learned as a mother of seven, a birthing rights advocate,
and a changemaker and putting it into the world’s first fully biodegradable birth pool: EVIA.
"I designed the EVIA Pool with a simple belief: every woman deserves to feel safe, powerful, and supported in birth — not just those with access or privilege, but all of us.
Water calms the mind, relaxes the body, and brings you home to yourself. But finding a pool that truly supports that experience isn’t always been easy.
So we created the EVIA Pool: biodegradable, strong, beautifully simple. No scrubbing, no storage, no waste. Just a calm, steady space to birth and to be. the EVIA is a pool made for real women, real homes, and real birth — gentle on you, and gentle on the earth."
If you’re preparing for birth and want to explore a cleaner, calmer way to do it, discover EVIA here
Because sometimes, all you need is the right water — and the right space to begin.
